Why boat carpet wears out
Carpet in a boat lives in a much harsher environment than carpet in a house or a car. It is regularly wet, exposed to sun, walked on with sandy or muddy shoes and often loaded with fishing gear, coolers and life jackets. Marine carpet is not household carpet
Marine-grade carpet is designed to cope with moisture and sun exposure in a way that ordinary indoor carpet is not, which is why it is the right material to use on a boat. What we do
We remove the old carpet, prepare the surface and install new carpet so that it fits neatly around seat bases, hatches and other features. If the floor underneath has a problem that carpet cannot fix, we will tell you what we find so you can decide how to proceed. Because we also handle boat seat upholstery and covers, carpet can be replaced along with worn seating so the whole interior matches.
